Underdark

The mysterious hollow of Garn, the Underdark is the underground realms that reach unknown depths, though some supposed sources among the svirfneblin claim there are three main depths called the Near Dark, the Middle Dark, and the Deep Dark, each becoming less hospitable and more treacherous as one goes deeper into the depths og the earthern lands beneath Garn.
The Underdark is not mapped to any reliable degree and the maps that do exist contradict one another making them unreliable and not a good tool for navigating its depths.
What is known is that the Underdark is said to stretch beyond the bounds of just Garn, traveling beneath the realm of the Feywild and there called the Feydark as well as moving through the Shadowfell as the Shadowdark.
Though the creatures very between these realms, the similarity in cavernous depths is
said to be similar.
Under Garn, the Underdark is known to hold many dangers both intelligent and
bestial and some even far more vile than can be imagined. The more widely
known dangers include the Duergar or dark dwarves, the Drow or dark elves,
the mad derro thought to be related to the Duergar or the dwarves, to
name a few. On the less dangerous side are the deep gnomes,
also known as the svirfneblin, the myconids, mushroom folk
who can range from deadly to helpful, and the pech known as deep miners
or stonekin.
Monsters such as ropers, piercers, cave fishers, and mobats make up a lot of
the bestial creatures with rumors of very dangerous creatures such as deep dragons and
purple worms also dwelling in the depths of the Underdark.
None of the named settlements of the Underdark denizens have been recorded as most who
try to explor the Underdark fro information end up eaten, sacrificed, or barely escaping with their lives much less the name or location of Duerr or Drow cities.
